The Groulien festival of Chrimbas is an annual celebration among the Salt-Hog worlds. This day is marked by the giving of a random selection of gifts and low-grade toxins to the youngsters, who either squeal with delight or choke as their ventricles are temporarily paralyzed.
It is, therefore, not totally unlike the Earth festivals of Christmas, right down to the alcohol poisoning.
